I've been going to Dr. Lockwood for around 3 years now since he was recommended to me by another dentist. His staff is super and friendly -- its like going to visit friends. He extracted my 4 wisdom teeth at once -- one required a few stiches. There was absolutely no major pain and I did not even fill the prescription -- a simple ibuprofin was all I needed that day. It was great to get it all behind me in one visit and I was back to work in 24 hours.
I have been going to Dr. Lockwood for over 7 years and he is up on the newest technology and introduced me to air abrasion for cavaties (painless) and did a lot of work on my teeth and was very sensitive to the amount of work done. I have referred many friends and co-workers to him and he and his staff have always been friendly and personable.
This guy removed my four wisdom teeth, AND, did oral surgery on my entire gums - 12 stitches later - all in one sitting, with only local anesthesia. He did not properly advise me to the extent or trauma of that particular dental visit. All the work I had done that one visit, I found out later, should have been done in no less than four visits. He is much too aggressive and does not, in my opinion, provide adequate patient pain care. DO NOT go to this guy unless you are an extreme masochist.
