Dr. Baum had the personality of a toad. He barely greeted me and did not know what procedure he was doing on me, I had to explain it as they could not find the referral from my oncologist. Also, the tension was noticeable between the Dr and staff in the procedure room. This hardly puts a patient at ease. After the procedure, he never did come to the recovery room to report his findings to either me or my husband.
Colonoscopy and Endoscopy today for my daughter. He was abrupt and didn't listen to family history of Crohn's. Walked out of the room during a question. Told my daughter he didn't have the staff to prescribe the meds she needed and that she would have to see her PCP for the meds. Seemed like he just didn't care. This was just another routine day at the office. More time and compassion for her pain would have been very helpful. He was very curt.
