I went to steelyard for a year, graduated, and moved away to southern california. I loved going to steelyard during my last year of school, but since leaving, it has become much more apparent how incredibly great of a gym this is, especially if you're a more serious lifter. The price, the equipment, the vibe, 24hr access, it doesn't get much better than steelyard.
This place is an absolute gem. It's the definition of serious business- no AC, no fluff, no BS. Everything you could possibly ever need to get strong or get jacked is here so if you're not either, it's on you. Best machine selection of anywhere I've been, if you want to channel your inner Mike Mentzer or Casey Viator you can superset Nautilus pullover with lat pulldowns or use the 70's brick shithouse Nautilus Chest machine with dips or incline presses to your heart's content.
