Our first time dining at “Steam Plant” was a very positive affair. Their brews are very good and the food is spot on! We love how the building’s original intent (steam plant) has been melded into a modern upscale brew pub/eatery. Another gem in Spokane’s (up and coming) bustling downtown scene!

We've been going to the steam plant grill or Stacks for more than a decade. Sadly it's turned into a tiny food restaurant. The food was good but the value is long gone. Smearing a paste of vegetable and put a small portion of meat on it with garnishment and drizzle isn't giving people FOOD they are dearly paying for. People in Spokane want food not paste and drizzle. For much less money you can get the same quality food for a much greater value. Plate appeal and tiny food doesn't make for a good value. Amazing food! And great service! Got the smokestack burger and it was the best burger I’ve had.

Our server was great and the remodel looks good, other than that not real impressed, trying to be hip and bring new food trends to town. Not working! Corn bread good but cold, pizza very average, Rubens (don't even go there if you truly are a Ruben fan) although the bread and butter pickles are great they don't belong on a Ruben. Fries cool and not of great quality. On the good side the Ranch dressing is great and the wait staff and valet staff are professional and great to deal with, great homemade pickles and the Rye bread... read more

New menu at the Steamplant, to be honest is very different. The beer I wanted wasn't available so it wasn't a great start to the meal, but the Scottish ale and blonde wound up being good beers. We wound up ordering 3 different things to try. Their mac n cheese is wonderful, the bacon in it was really good. The burger was nice, we asked for the bbq sauce on the side, which was good because it's different, not a classic bbq sauce. The Apple and fig pizza was so different, but it was awesome. We asked for it without the arugula... read more
