I've been to Steak 'n Shake in other states and have never seen one this nasty. After watching the cook touch the spatulas, the cheese, and the buns using the same gloves while preparing each burger, I saw him carry them in his hands over this trash can to the next station for someone else's hands to touch... I knew better than to go back to this location but now I feel sick just thinking about this! I'll post the picture I took from the bar at 8:30 when there were plenty of staff to clean up.
Service was horrible. .waitress complain about being tired food took over 30 minutes. ..
Normally, I love Steak 'n Shake, but tonight was absolutely terrible. We got to the drive thru at 11pm(1 hour before closing) and was told that the drive thru was closed for the night, but we could come inside for take out. When we got inside, we ordered two shakes to go. There were maybe two other tables taken. Some girl came in behind us and ordered two shakes and apparently they knew her so low and behold she got hers first. Meanwhile, other employees weren't doing crap in there. My place of business Monday - Friday, gotta luv it. Nice environment with cool friendly ppl to work with.
Would have been 5 stars but our usual waitress, Gina, wasn't there. It's just not Steak and Shake without Gina. QQ
Deserves ZERO stars. This location has the rudest, most inept employees I have ever come across. I had an employee yell at me when she did her job wrong and I asked her for the correct order. I will never eat at Steak and Shake again--most definitely not this one. Corporate will be notified.
Steak n Shake is one of my favorite places but I had a less than thrilling experience in Covington. My daughter ordered a shake when our food was delivered. 30 minutes later, we gave up on getting it (despite also asking a different waitress to check on it), only to discover that it had already been added to our bill. Nobody seemed the least bit concerned, and instead asked us to wait longer while they finally made the shake. Their food is great, but customer service at this location is lacking.

Floors were dangerously slippery due to the humidity and the tiles not being adapted to it. I asked for substitution and still got fries. They made that right though. Kids and wife enjoyed it but watch out for the floors! Service was slow. Very few people there and took forever. Started to rate a two as I am sure we will be back for the kids. LOL.
