Been to Statesville a bunch of times so I knew Hellsgate would be amazing and it was. The walk through the woods was fantastic. The house itself was outstanding. I agree with another reviewer on here, they could definitely start the fun on bus ride over. The road to the haunt is horrifying all by itself.

HellsGate has changed a lot this season! It was longer, scarier and there was so much going on that we would need to go through at least several more times to catch everything. We have written a full review as well that can be found at The Scare Factor.
I was very disappointed by this haunt - especially because up until we stepped inside the actual haunted house, Hellsgate was on its way to being one of the best haunts I’ve attended For context, I have been to 20+ haunted houses in the past 3 years and write reviews for Haunted Wisconsin. I went on a Sunday night, 10/15. The outdoor portion leading up to the mansion was incredible – the timing of the actors was perfect and the sets looked amazing, and walking up to the mansion itself, we were extremely impressed.
