Classified manager, Pamela Pollard, not only allowed but defended her decision to post a recruitment ad for the klan on this page. She claimed her supervisors approved this ad, as well. I do not recommend businesses that take money from and promote hate groups, therefore I do not recommend the Statesboro Herald to anyone.

I am really disappointed to see our local news source blatantly supporting hateful messages. Recruiting 12-year-old white boys that are "Fed Up" or "Had Enough" to join in a pro-confederate brotherhood... The message of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans is shameful and has no place in our community.

No discernment when approving ads. Do better.

Embarrassed that my local paper would post a KKK ad, but not surprised.

Absolutely appalling, and disrespectful to the citizens of Statesboro, to see a racist recruitment ad posted.

Racism. Pam Pollard and her supervisor should be fired immediately. I do not support racism and I can no longer support the Statesboro herald until Pam and her supervisor are removed.

As a resident and educator in Statesboro, I think it is deplorable for this platform to promote the recruitment of our youth to join a group that perpetuates negativity in our community. Parties in charge have shown a lack of decorum, respect, sensitivity to ALL of the members of this town by approving the ad!

Embarrassed and disgusted by the recent (conveniently now deleted) “paid ad” recruiting for the KKK hiding in plain sight. How dare you accept money to post something like that. The fact that it’s now deleted clearly shows you all know it was inappropriate and wrong - yet you took the money and posted it anyway? You should be ashamed of yourselves. It should not take an army of people leaving bad reviews for it to have been removed, it never should have been posted in the first place.

Definitely don’t recommend supporting any business that will accept payment for promoting something that stands for racism. You can remove the ad all you want but we have all seen it. Goes to show how racist the people that work there are if they thought that was okay to post in the first place
