We've taken the bus several times with trips of 3+ hours each way. Never had an issue. Great assistance (and patience!) from the drivers and even passengers with my husband who is blind.
Driver was professional but a little overconfident with some driving. Would have been nice to have a toilet to use at the Port Pirie stop other than the only one on the bus, otherwise good.
