THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE WITH A SERVICE COMPANY! This company absolutely ruined my move from baltimore-dc. Not only did I warn them ahead of time of what they had to do, but when they showed up they seemed shocked by the size of my things and the fact that I didn't have an elevator. I MENTIONED all of this ahead of time! When I told the sales rep that I had a limit of $700 to pay for this job, he told me that this move would not take more than 4 hours and to put aside my worries. Stay Away from this company! I cannot tell you how awful this experience was! First -- they didn't show up on the day my move was scheduled. The guy acted like it was no big deal: "We'll just come out tomorrow." You've got to be kidding. The movers were absolute idiots -- the guy driving the truck had no concept of how to back up a large vehicle. Then they got lost getting to my new place. At the end -- guess what: They over-charged me! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY -- THEY ARE THIEVES.
Horrible experience Moving is stressful enough by itself - let alone when your movers don't show up. Terrible customer service - after listening to my complaint, the customer service attendant put me on hold for 25 minutes before I ran out of patience and hung up. When I called back, I was mysteriously disconnected. And when I called back again, I was sent straight to voice mail. Nice strong movers....Highly RECOMMEND STARVING STUDENTS The two Samoan Movers were really good. They were nice, strong and did not look like they were expecting anything from us. These two lifted what was a 250lb treadmill with ease. I was expecting to have to help but, there was no need. I did not enquire but, they looked like a couple of defensive linemen. Cheers!
Definitely recommend these movers The movers were very courteous and friendly, and worked extremely quickly. They even moved my bookcases, which I originally had planned to move myself. They took at least 3-4 hours off my move by doing that! I would definitely recommend Starving Students to a friend.
BEWARE OF STARVING STUDENTS! We just made a local move, and we are not happy at all. A table was ruined, and they LOST some of our stuff!!!! We are missing some boxes of valuable things, but because we didn't opt for the $150 insurance, we will be lucky to get anything. We are dealing with their claims right now. On top of that, this move cost us more than to move across the country. If you can help it, don't use Starving Students.
Decent moving company We used this company to move 3 years ago. Decent service--our stuff got to the new place and nothing was broken. However, they charged us 500 dollars more than we were quoted. For truly "starving" students, this wasn't a pleasant surprise!!
