Starving Convicts Moving Company Horrible, horrible, horrible!! Both the local and corporate offices are horrible. My move details were never confirmed nor entered in the system. The movers were definitely not students and came smelling of weed and cigarettes. I purchased my own supplies, i.e. boxes and they ended up charging me for use of their supplies, without making me aware of this. I became aware when I saw the bill for $2000 11 hours later!! Terrible service I will never use this company again. My experience with them was terrible, and their customer service was nothing short of atrocious. First of all, they arrived well outside the window. When they finally got there, they told me that my apartment was on the third floor so they wouldn't be able to make the move that day. I would think as a professional moving company, you would have all the details of the move before you showed up. In any case, i spent 45 minutes trying to convince them to carry out the schedu... read more
Stay Away from this company! I cannot tell you how awful this experience was! First -- they didn't show up on the day my move was scheduled. The guy acted like it was no big deal: "We'll just come out tomorrow." You've got to be kidding. The movers were absolute idiots -- the guy driving the truck had no concept of how to back up a large vehicle. Then they got lost getting to my new place. At the end -- guess what: They over-charged me! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY -- THEY ARE THIEVES.

WOST MOVERS IN BALTIMORE Absolutely the worst moving company ever. Below is an email I send to the Baltimore office with (shocking) no response. NEVER use them: I wanted to follow up with you about my move this past Saturday. Overall I was very disappointed with my experience with Starving Students. I was aware that I was to be the second move of the day but I was originally told that they would be there around 10 or 10:30. 11 at the latest. They did not arrive until 1:30. WORST DAY OF MY LIFE We were booked for the afternoon shift on the 30th which is supposed to be from 1pm-5pm and quoted a rate of $89/hour. They called us on the 29th to confirm that they would be there at 2pm on the 30th. By 4pm on the 30th when no one had shown up or contacted us all day we called the baltimore office number which rang and went to their voicemail.
