Stars Sports Bar & Grill Fail! – So, I've been to this place (Stars Sports Bar and Grill) in Katy, near 99 about five times in two months. I've chatted up bartenders, managers, assistant managers and the owner. So, I like these people, but, I won't be going back and I feel like I should let people know why. Really Underwhelming and disappointing – The crowd was sparse, the ambiance was practically non-existent, and the food leaves you with a general "ick" feeling. I would not go back, and recommend you look elsewhere for a bar/grill to hang out in.
Went out for a beer and some wings, came home with... – Got talked in to going to this place last weekend. I honestly think that the positive reviews on here must be from the owner because this place sucks. Went out for beer and wings came home and six hours later was puking and on the toilet. Got me and my friend sick as a dog. On top of that, their beer sucks..
Bad food, poor management.. – I love a good dive bar, the operative word being "good." Stars Sports Bar & Grill qualifies as a dive, but not a good one and as a "dive" it only marginally qualifies since its interior and patio are actually pretty nice. Great food Great people – Lots of fun. Dont know why anyone would post garbage online and lie about other people. We have been going for years and its a great place to hang out watch the games and have drinks.
WOW!!! GREAT GIRLS GREAT FOOD!!! – MY FRIENDS WANTED TO GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN MOS OR BAKER ST. SO WE WENT TO STARS ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO. WE CANNOT STOP. Good food, lots of room, hot girls – This is a nice (clean) place to kick back and watch a football or baseball game over a beer. I'll echo the comment below - tends to be over-crowded with UFC fans in their Affliction t-shirts...:) However, I've never failed to hook up with a hot girl here, at least for conversation, sometimes more. ON a related note - I've never seen so many "well-endowed" women in one bar, staff or customer. Is it something in the water in Katy?? Anyway, if you like your girls curvy, go here :)
Avoid During UFC – Just a bar in Katy trying to be Downtown Houston. It is true that it is the only true sports bar that I have seen in Katy, but it is sad that it is overrun with wannabe UFC, Tapout loyalists. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful. STARS Rocks! Listen Up Girls! – I have been coming to Stars since the day the opened. I was at the 2nd year anniversary party this past weekend and the place was rockin'. Tony always has fun things planned to entertain us. Also, I always like to eat there because the food is GOOD! The food menu is very impressive for a sports bar.
