My twin boys having been attending Starks Pediatrics for eight (8) years. We are pleased with the personalized care we receive in a warm, welcoming atmosphere--there's a sea life motif throughout the office setting with an eye catching fish tank in the lobby (prepare to be "wooed"). Decor is really cute but the male receptionist was not friendly at all. I think I barely received eye contact when my insurance card was handed back to me. The nurse who called us back didn't seem very friendly either, she didn't even introduce herself but did smile as she interacted with my daughter. 10:15am appt, Exam Room at 10:45am, seen by doctor at 11am. The worst doctor ever. I took my son when he was sick they send some samples to the lab and the doctor never called me. After a week of my calling finally I got a receptionist tell me the lab results. When I visited the office it was too hot so I told the receptionist it was hot and she said that could not turn on the ac and the temp was 77. Dr. Starks is very personable and makes sure she spends time talking with you to find out everything you are concerned about with your child. She takes her time and does not rush you in and out of the office which makes a big difference. Most Pediatricians are so busy their assistants do all the work and they come in a take a quick look and send you on your way. You don't have to worry about that with Dr. Starks she makes your visit for you and your child very pleasant and makes you want to come back.
