About this business

The fish used to create the dishes at Starfish Sushi are of many different species, but the one thing that unites them all is that they are fresh as can be. No matter whether you're having the fairly common tuna or salmon, or rarer varieties like Japanese red snapper or young yellowtail, you can be rest assured that it will be delicious. The Japanese cuisine comprises dishes like the Alaskan king crab tempura and spicy yaki udon noodles. The sushi and sahimi list is seemingly never ending, and features a number of must-haves... read more

Go!! – Great sushi at a good price with great service. Never very packed, so always easy to be seated and served promptly. Great new sushi find that will surely become sushi mainstay in Atlanta!

Great sushi, ambiance and sevice always! – I love this restaurant. The service is always fantastic and the sushi is always fresh. I love their innovative menu and creative special rolls. I always am seated and served on promptly. The restaurant is always clean and has a trendy feel without being too "sceney." Great menu and saki! The only downfall is that it does not have a full bar but a problem easily solved by hitting up a nearby bar before or after if needed.

Fresh and Talented – This is by far the best gift Atlanta has received from the sushi gods since Soto (Chef Sotohiro Kosugi) left town. Make sure you have Allen Suh (soon to be a national treasure) prepare your sushi. Allen is a genius! The fish is fresh and the presentation is phenomenal. Starfish has become one of my weekly treats. If you like Uni, ask Allen to create an Uni delight on the fly... Certainly no lack of creativity in this restaraunt! - Coming from a Sushi Freak

attentive Sushi chefs – Starfish was a nice find on a street that bears more than a passing resemblance to a strip mall. I appreciated the Sake tasting and the fresh Modai (red snapper). The sushi chefs were attentive, if busy. The atmosphere perhaps a bit perfect compared to some of the hole's in the wall that I am used to finding good sushi in. It was not crowded, parking was easy (not necessarily the definition of a great restaurant, but qualities none-the-less). I would consider dining there again.

Sushi Bar – On a Wednesday night, it was pretty empty, much to my delight, but even more delightful were the free sushi offerings that kept comig over the bar. Tempura salmon, salmon sushi salad, etc...they stayed with the theme of what I ordered. Right when I sat down, the service was on top of my - just a little anxious on a slow night. They helped me select a great sake that was just in - not on the menu. The sushi was perfect, expertly cut and fresh as can be expected in ATL. Not sure what I had paid for the sake or if I... read more

Creative rolls with Hollywood names are the flashiest thing going at this jewel-box sushi spot in South Buckhead. – The Scene Tucked into a corner space on Peachtree Street, Starfish has the feel of a cozy hidden nook. A few flourishes, like faux-finished walls and funky charm napkin rings, give this otherwise trim restaurant personality. Couples on a first date may flirt cautiously, while Buckhead go-getters hash out plans for their next trip to Vegas. Behind the bar, fastidious-looking sushi chefs are all business. The Foo... read more

Best sushi in Atlanta, plus the price is right! – I from Athens Georgia where great food at resonable prices is the norm. But now living here in Atlanta I'm all to often find myself feeling cheated. This is one of the few places that I have visisted and felt that both the service ad the food lived up to my high stands. Great place for a date or just to drop in and grab a quick eat. Extra friendly service was just the cherry on top!
