The machines ask for 20% tip and it takes about 30 seconds to figure out how to navigate the buttons to switch to no tip, there’s no touch screen so people are forced to leave a tip unless they want to awkwardly ask how to navigate the screen or hold up the line figuring it out. This feels like robbery, especially with 20% preselected and the level of difficulty in figuring out how to change it. We ordered two of the new Oatmilk Horchata Shaken Espressos, but instead, we received two plain iced coffees made with regular milk. Not only was the order completely wrong, but both drinks were made with dairy—even though we specifically chose oatmilk. We're lactose intolerant, so this mistake could have had serious consequences. It's really disappointing, especially considering how expensive Starbucks is. When you pay for a specific drink, you expect it to be made correctly and safely.
