This Starbucks, in a busy full-on urban neighborhood, really does it right. The store works as a giant team, overseen by a hands-on manager who makes sure her staff are attentive to customer orders and needs. I’ve come here a hundred times at least over the last couple of years. The cafe and drive through are often packed on weekday mornings and has a real coffee house vibe. Went here got 3 drinks and they would not accept my 100 dollar bill for payment. A multi million dollar company doesn’t have change for 100 dollar bill.
I started coming here when the Starbucks I loved on Shepherd closed. They were so friendly and just generally positive. This location I often feel like I am an inconvenience to the employees just by ordering a coffee. Also, 9 times out of 10 not a word is spoken by the employee who “greets” you at the window. I’ve had so many moments where I said “good morning,” “how are you,” or just “thank you” and I’m met with silence and stares. Not inviting, not friendly.
