Star of India has the best Indian food in Los Angeles!!! I moved to LA from London over 20 years ago and tried several Indian restaurant before I discovered SOI when they were located on Melrose Ave. It reminded me of the family-run, neighborhood places I used to go to and when I tasted the food it did not disappoint. I rate an Indian restaurant on their Dal Tarka and SOI is fantastic, not watery and runny like other places but smooth and packed with flavor.
