This newspaper has gone down the tubes! Terrible customer service (now farmed out to some 800 number that is not even in Illinois). They can never find my phone number or house number and tell me I don't have an account. They are rude and sarcastic when you call. The paper now charges an extra $5 if you choose to pay with a check instead of doing automatic withdrawals from your bank account. The paper is now thrown in my front yard, on the front sidewalk or on the grassy area near the road. It is never put on my porch anymor... read more
Home delivery has no consistency regarding time or place of delivery.
Customer service is terrible. Called the Star Courier’s phone number this afternoon and got a customer service person in Galesburg who thought I was calling about a Galesburg newspaper. Star Courier needs to go back to handling their own customer service, etc.
My mother is elderly. The home she lives in is a big old house in Galva and has a porch that spans the whole length of the house. Why can’t the delivery people throw the paper up on the porch???? They throw it and it hits the bottom of the porch steps. I called and asked if it could please be delivered through the mail. I was told they would do that , but it has never happened. It is the one thing I get her for Christmas but won’t anymore! 😔
Recommendedit's a good paper I enjoy it wish it didn't cost so much
