I'm giving the stars based on his personality. Had my knee replaced and have to say it still hurts and my scar is much bigger and jagged than others with knee replacements
He's personable, but other than that extremely disappointed. Took Xray and found out I had a meniscus tear. He didn't recommend any treatment , didn't recommend physical therapy; didn't recommend RICE, didn't recommend a knee brace, nothing. Just told me to go home; continue normal activity and if it's still bothering me in 3 months we'll address it then. I came home; read up that meniscus tears don't get better on their own. Dr Longenecker is absolutely at the top of my long list of doctor's for being one of the absolute BEST, and after a spinal cord injury many years ago, being diagnosed with COPD and emphysema in 2013, and many other health issues. I went to see him for my shoulder, I found out that I need a total shoulder replacement, which is very scary when you're 63 yrs old, and the whole idea of another surgery, kicked my anxiety into full gear, thank God for Dr Longenecker, after only a few minutes into my visit, put me at ease.
