I'm not exaggerating when I say this place has the best burger i have ever had and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Stanich's will always be the first place I stop when I visit Portland
We have been going to stanich’s since the 90’s and our kids have grown up eating there. We absolutely loved every meal we ate there and are very sad that it is not open. We hope it opens back up soon!!!!
Stanichs is what it is. An old school stand by. It cantake time to get your food. But, it's fresh and way with it. If you go in knowing that, you will enjoy it.
Be patient folks - it's a wonderful small place that got overwhelmed by our collective love of burgers. Worth the visit but come when the hype quiets down. And please be patient with staff.
I went there to meet some friends for lunch today. I was there at a little after 12 noon. The door was locked. Looked in the window, no one was there. Other people came by and left as puzzled as I was. I walked to Alameda Brewhouse and had a nice lunch with my friends. Walked by Stanich's about a hour later (as I parked in their lot earlier) and they were still closed. I was disappointed as I hadn't been there for awhile. I hope it hasn't gone the way of Original Taco House.
Went today. Sat for 30 minutes and watched three other groups enter. Other groups served when we never got asked for water. Server could only that business was not fast food and barked as we left. Used to like the place, now can say I will not be coming back.....ever!
