I came to this office having high expectations (I mean it's Stanford hospital). Unfortunately I am very disappointed for the lack of care at this facility. So, I came for the first visit and I was not physically examined (I have a lot of soft tissue swelling). I was told by the treating physician that they don't investigate the reason for the pain they just treating it with medication. Hmm. Okay. That's confusing. I called the new patient line since I have not been seen here since 2011. Since my previous physician retired and I wanted to continue the treatments that were effective for me (an infusion every 5-6 years), 1 asked if they could tell me the dose/weight-based dosing or protocol that the department currently performs. I was informed that no one in scheduling could help me with this issue and that I would need to schedule a new patient consult and drive several hours to the clinic to even find out the answer to my question. Waited 2 months for them to say they wouldn’t see me even though it was just a transfer of care because I moved from out of state. Now I’m behind in my routine treatments and have experienced the worst flare up in 2 years.
