Despite the distance to Stanford from my home, it is well worth the drive. I had been in another hospital when I first became ill. I was there for 3 weeks and getting worse by the day. I finally said the doctors needed to transfer me to a place that could help me. Fortunately, of the two recommended hospitals, I chose Stanford. As it has the only autonomic neuropathy lab on the West Coast, it proved to be the best choice I could have made. They do not truly call back, but say they did. They don’t relay to the doctors questions or concerns. They only want money first, way before care or concern for the patients. Regardless if doctors still want to speak with you, they just won’t let you contact them, or him you. The office staff is rude and unprofessional. The staff and doctors are great though.
