I got injured at the gym and booked a sports clinic appt. The only available one. I immediately got a call from someone saying that its not what they specialize in. Ok. What do you specialize in? The answer was literally “everything but what you have”. They then said to go to the PCP, who have no appointments available for the rest of the year. So god forbid something happens to an athlete while exercising if they are a patient at Stanford Medicine. Everyone will just cancel on you. How is this healthcare?
I made an appointment with Dr. Fulmer — a remarkable doctor. But the clinic and assistants… It seems they hate people.. I had back pain and had to wait three weeks for the earliest available slot with Dr. Fulmer. T_w_o days before the scheduled visit, his assistants called me to confirm my insurance. Then, just o_n_e day before the appointment, I was informed that my insurance is no longer accepted at this clinic. I can afford to pay, but they wouldn’t accept the payment out of pocket. 1st time I went in, I had soar throat and acid reflex problem. The nurse practitioner told me she can not see me for 2 issues! I have to choose what I want to talk to her about and make another appointments for the other issue! 2nd time, they got urine sample telling me the result will be in 24 to 48 hours, ONE WEEK later, after calling everyday, they did NOT have the result.
