I had a positive experience with my providers for a long time. Until I ran into issues with my insurance for a prior authorization on a drug I've been taking for 6 years now. It's impossible to tell who's at fault, but every time you try to call someone at Stanford Healthcare, no one who can actually make a difference can pick up the phone. He answered all of questions and helped with my upcoming surgery to perhaps “fix” my horrible GERD issues of over thirty years that my Modesto specialist basically said, “deal with your issues because I have done all that can be done.” Hence the reason I chose to have my second and BEST opinion by the top notch experts at Stanford! I am 61, and will even be willing to participate in any study I could help with, if it means anyone’s quality of life could be better.

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Mike Wei. He's very intelligent, and communicates well. He was very focused on my concerns and needs. He listened well, and proposed very good solutions to my issues. I never felt rushed in the appointment. He seems very intent on solving my issues.
