True professionals in a great atmosphere
We had our baby close to midnight on Friday (04/10) at the L&D Unit at Lucille Packard and were moved to the Postpartum Unit shortly after midnight. While the L&D experience was excellent and we were overjoyed after our son’s birth, our experience in the Postpartum Unit was the complete opposite. We had both our babies at the Labor & Delivery Unit in Lucille Packard. Dr. Parsian is absolutely amazing and delivered our daughter in 2024 and our son last week. In 2024, it was a long labor and I got to meet others in the OBGYN team then and they were all kind and accommodating. The nurses and attendants were also amazing and ensured that we were as comfortable as possible and that our concerns were heard. The Anesthesiology team was superb both the times. One of the places I wish I could give negative stars too. Nurses were rude and entitled, service was the ultimate combination of expensive and awful. My daughter was forced to sit in a chair for 14 hours while they did nothing except run an EKG, a blood test and covid and flu tests we didn't need or want. We have spent the next three months with our daughter in therapy from the trauma of her experience with the terrible, uncaring staff who charged my insurance over $28,000 for the privilege of having my daughter tortured. I cannot say enough good things about Stanford Children's Emergency Hospital. They were incredibly fast, knowledgeable, and thorough in treating my daughter. Beyond the medical care, they prioritized her emotional well-being by explaining things clearly and providing tablets and toys to keep her calm. The staff was also exceptionally kind to me as a parent, offering drinks and checking in constantly. This is the perfect environment for children, run by people who genuinely care. We are so grateful!
