Best Experience in NYC – I went to Staghorn Steakhouse earlier this week at 4pm while visiting NYC on business. Technically they were closed and didn't start serving dinner until 5pm but the manager took pity on me and let me be seated and opened the kitchen. He even proceeded to wait on me himself and made exceptions to the menu for me. All totaled I had at least four people waiting on me hand and foot. It was the best experience I've had in all my trips to NYC.
VERY RUDE – Three of us went in after around 8:30 for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was empty. That should have been the first clue. We ordered drinks and looked at the menu. Too pricey. We told the waiter we would just be enjoying our drinks. I guess the mgmt didn't like that we weren't spending money as he paced up and down in front of us, glaring, mumbling under his breath, and at one point, I thought he was going to remove the table cloth right out from under us.
