Amazing and affordable place to live in Mount Vernon. Christine, the property manager is really helpful with everything and makes sure to resolve any maintenance request you have within 24 hours. She makes sure to give prompt building updates to everyone and is always available if you need anything. Rest of the staff including Tai are very friendly and respectful!
I lived in the Stafford Apartments for two years during my graduate study in the area. While the building is old and has some small wrinkles that come from that, my overall experience was a positive one. I had a spacious apartment, never had any big maintenance issues, and Christine is a particularly excellent and kind property manager. What issues and questions I did have she always worked hard to resolve and was friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, would recommend this complex, particularly for local students.
Having rented a couple apartments at The Stafford over the past few years, I have always found the staff and management to be very responsive, helpful, and professional. In particular, Christine and Tai have gone above and beyond (assisting with a lockout on the weekend, dealing with moving issues, etc) compared to other apartment complexes I have dealt with in the past. Awful awful awful. Landlady is GREAT… but it can’t save the fact that the laundry machines DONT WORK… the elevators are out of order 60% of the year… DON’T LIVE HERE
STAY AWAYYY! Packages are stolen constantly, and management does absolutely nothing about it, and nor the cameras work. Homeless people entering the building during the cold months (about 6 months), and it's 3 blocks from jail!!! Did I mention that the elevators are constantly broken? I mean, too often, and they don't tell you this before you sign the lease, but this place just don't recycle AT ALL!!
