I lived at the Stafford for two years and it is a quirky building! My experience in the actual building itself was too shaped by my unit (no natural sunlight due to the building next-door) to be indicative of the building as a whole, so take this review with that grain of salt. i only delivered doordash here but the elevators are weird and the lights don’t work on either of them. one elevator is only big enough for 2 people barely. weird layout but interesting.

My first stay at the Stafford, while possessing a few hiccups, turned around for the better! I anticipated the few issues that occurred since it is a building of antiquity. However, Christine and Tai handled every issue with grace and patience. Amazing and affordable place to live in Mount Vernon. Christine, the property manager is really helpful with everything and makes sure to resolve any maintenance request you have within 24 hours. She makes sure to give prompt building updates to everyone and is always available if you need anything. Rest of the staff including Tai are very friendly and respectful!

I lived in the Stafford Apartments for two years during my graduate study in the area. While the building is old and has some small wrinkles that come from that, my overall experience was a positive one. I had a spacious apartment, never had any big maintenance issues, and Christine is a particularly excellent and kind property manager. What issues and questions I did have she always worked hard to resolve and was friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, would recommend this complex, particularly for local students.
