horrible hospital, I was in the waiting room, on the 6th floor, saw a lady struggling with getting up and she was in a wheel chair. there was a nurse writing just a few chairs away from me and didn’t even offer to help, this is just ridiculous how they treat people, even when I went down to the cafeteria to get a drink with my boyfriend, that big group of foreign people were rude and giving us looks, embarrassing hospital. So I called an ambulance because I sprained my ankle and couldn’t bear any weight on it. They put me in a stretcher and got my MOTHER to help with that?? Like there was 2 paramedics. Anyway, we get to the hospital and there’s this lady just screaming and nobody’s doing anything about it. I got an x ray for my foot and they told me that it was a third degree sprain but they gave me nothing for the pain and gave me nothing for my foot. Worst treatment of patients including myself. They prescribed Tylenol for stab wounds. And the security physically attacked first Nations patients.
I went in with extreme pain on my left side. Doctors were quick, did all nesseary tests, I was there under 2 hrs. I was treated well and fairly. I had pneumonia, and they fixed me quickly, and effiently. I was pleased with the outcome .
My mother was transferred here this September the experience has been so much better than at the RUH, our family is allowed privacy with my mom in the ICU which is a relief I remember I couldn’t even sit alone 5 minutes with my mom at the RUH, the nurses here take my mom on walks, allow her to go outside for fresh air after being in a coma for almost 2 months, daily physio, they even let her drink water which is such a privilege my mom didn’t have at the RUH, the whole atmosphere amongst the nurses at St Pauls is so differen... read more
