Amazing Vets and staff...so grateful for their outstanding expertise...my 7 mos old Beauceron Natasha has extreme Anxiety Disorder...so severe she could not even go outside...but because of their excellent care and compassion...she was able to go to her FIRST AKC Kennel Club Show and won SECOND PLACE!!!!
My baby boy is a male cat who had trouble urinating. Took him and saw Dr. Shumaker. She is so wonderful and was so good with my baby! She explained the severity of the situation and what could happen, but didn't happen, thankfully. Right now he's on antibiotics and doing a whole lot better! Thank you SMAC staff and Dr. Shumaker for making little Albert feel so much better!
When my dog, Lola, was evaluated for a urinary tract infection at the clinic, Dr. Shumaker palpated a concerning finding in her abdomen. An X-ray was performed and there was a large abdominal mass. Since Lola is 10 years old, my first thought was "Cancer". I knew her abdomen had gotten larger but I just thought we needed to put her on a diet. After an Ultrasound was performed, it was suspected that is was just a large fatty mass. Dr. McCoy performed surgery and Lola did wonderful. The fatty tumors weighed nearly 5.5 lbs. I h... read more
I love my vet so much!! All the staff at SMAC are so friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Dr. Shumaker for being an amazing veterinarian and obvious animal lover! She always answers every one of my questions and makes me feel like I actually know what’s going on with my pup; I never feel like she’s in a hurry to get to her next patient. A pet sitter who spoke English as a second language took my injured puppy into them while I was out of town. They tricked my pet sitter into signing paperwork relinquishing ownership when my pet sitter isnt even her owner. When I called to explain, the manager refused to give my sweet puppy back even though I cried and begged to pay them for their services and have my beloved girl back home with her family.
