My poor boyfriend was sent down to St Mary's to have an mri done this afternoon since our local hospital did not have the staff to handle it. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, we were treated with respect and care. The doctor, her first name was Mandy, was such a joy and answered all of our questions we had. My husband just had cardiac bypass graft surgery and from the time he entered the ER and throughout his surgery and postoperative care we were overwhelmed by the kindness and excellent care he received. Staff who had cared for him in the first days came back to visit him on succeeding days just to see how he was doing. The medical staff are highly skilled and just as importantly are warm and caring. So apparently it is normal procedure here to deny people their scheduled pain meds, and to ignore you when you tell them repeatedly that you are having an anxiety attack for hours until you have a breakdown and start yelling and then sit here and argue with you that you are doing something wrong and need to calm down or you are going to be denied emergency care. Also they don't listen to your allergies and keep giving you stuff that you have clearly stated multiple times that you are allergic to. I have been waiting for over... read more
my husband has had a heart cath, by pass debifulator 2 knee replacements within the last 3 years, each time we were present at the hospital he got the greatest of care on each floor. very impressive great staff great doctors compassionate
