Don’t go to this emergency room, the staff is very unprofessional and I literally was yelled at for asking a question. Terrible!!!

I had a valve replaced in my heart recently. Everyone from the surgeon and his staff to the nurses and CAs to the staff at the acute rehab center were outstanding. The diabetes doctor and his staff were also great. I'd like to thank the nurses and CAs specifically for there attention and care. They genuinely seemed to care about not only you but also the care that you were receiving. I hope to never go through something like this again but if I do I hope it's some place like St Marks.

This hospital's ER is filthy. The chairs in the waiting rooms are covered in crumbs and who knows what else. The concrete at the entry is covered with dried blood. The carpets (yes they have carpet in the ER waiting room) are disgusting. The nurses were great. Doing what they can in a nasty environment but the Doctors were uninformative and spend little time with the patients. Their was little follow through and the overall feeling was to get the patients out as soon as possible.

Don’t get surgery by this man or this hospital . Because now , I am disabled by their negligence and Financially I have nothing. My savings is all gone. I need things for my disabilities and I will never be able to afford them, all my money I get from SSDI goes towards bills and medicine and doctor copays and Medicare. My sister was recently a patient in St. Mark's Hospital ICU and unfortunately passed away. Luckily ,my brother and I were allowed to see her which made the situation more bearable as we know many families across the country are unable to be with loved ones. The remarkable kindness of the staff brought me to tears and greatly eased the pain that comes in this situation.
