I am genuinely shocked that there aren’t more negative reviews based on the treatment I have experienced. From the directors of nursing to case managers, nurses, and social workers, the level of professionalism and knowledge is severely lacking. The organization is chaotic, with staff unable to remember what was ordered, and there is a complete breakdown in communication among the nurses/staff. It saddens me to write this review. Our dad started to receive care from St. Marie's in December 2024. We had difficulty from the start with consistent nursing care. The nursing staff did not think they should change dad's catheter at every visit, with some saying it was only necessary once a month. Some of dad's prescriptions were not renewed promptly, some as long as a week late. We requested a wound care nurse to see dad because of sores developing on his buttocks. Very unprofessional in all aspects!!!
At one of the worst times in my life, I made one phone call that turned my horrible situation into a positive experience. Monica Winbush and the staff of St Maries Hospice helped our family by providing excellent care for our Mom until she transitioned in the comfort of her home. Monica visited with our family when our mom was admitted into hospice to answer any questions we had and to offer support as she had walked this road a few years prior.
