You people are a disgrace. I sent in paperwork for financial assistance because I’m out of work due to COVID, and you would’ve approve it. I bet if I was WHITE you would do it, there’s absolutely no reason to tell me no. If I would’ve lied on the application than I would’ve got approve. CHI St Luke's honesty in billing for services is really appalling. Several weeks ago my wife was asked to get a blood draw at CHI's for routine bloodwork. We arrived at the hospital to ask where the lab was and they proceeded to a registration process that they said was routine. we asked if that was going to result in extra charges, but they insisted it would not. Now 2 weeks later, we are billed for the lab work ($35), which was similar to LabCorp or Quest charges, but we got a second bill from the hospital for $225 dollars... read more

Most recently, they required a patient to pay half of the preapproved charges (close to $1000) even though they knew from the insurance company that the patient owed less than $100 and refused to do the tests that had been ordered and approved until the patient made what I call an extortion payment. Now they refuse to refund the money to the patient even though they have now received 150% of the amount they agreed to with the insurance company.
