We brought our 5, almost 6, year old son to Children's by referral from an ER doctor at a different hospital. I was, to say the least, very unsatisfied with what that doctor would not explain to me. Once we arrived to Children's Hospital, 38 hours after the incident, it was immediately evident that my son did break his elbow. Christi Abeln, practitioner under Dr. Gordon, was nothing less less than very comforting and caring to our son. She explained every question that I had with great detail. My daughter has been admitted here several times and each time has been amazing. The nurses are all very sweet and kind and respectful. The doctors know what to do! They have all the needs a child could want and have being here.

My daughter who has a very rare genetic syndrome was born at Barnes Jewish and has been a Children's baby since birth and now at almost 2 we have had multiple months in and out the hospital. The team of doctors and nurses are all so amazing and kind and have saved my daughters life multiple times. They go above and beyond for the kids there. I couldn't thank everyone enough for all the times they took care of her and made sure she overcame every sickness and battle she has had to face. They take every single day to make the ... read more
