This hospital is still using COVID protocols in June 2023. Only 2 visitors allowed in the waiting room during neuro surgery??? They called security on us for having 3 people in the waiting room while my MIL was having spinal surgery!! It is unacceptable to treat people this way.
A friend with cancer died in your facility. She was near the end of her life when brought to the ER. You denied her spouse access, sent security to escort him off of the premises. She was unable to advocate or make medical decisions for herself. I am absolutely livid that she was alone while dying and that in the midst of his grief, her husband had to mobilize support for access and advocacy instead of spend as many precious final moments with her as possible. Brought my 90 year old mother to the Er with chest pain snd shortness of breath. The triage team was rude and would not allow me to provide background and patient history. The actually called security to me as a tried to get my mother care. I immediately took my mother across the street to Northside for some compassionate care. Do not recommend this facility.
I was scheduled for a port to be implanted. I called to find out the info for my driver. I experienced some problems. I was escalated to Jessica B Hawkins,who is supposed to be a manager. I was treated poorly. I got her info and told her I was going to complain. The next thing I know,the port appointment I've been waiting for over a month for canceled by Ms. Hawkins. Now I'm left with stage 3 pancreatic cancer,praying it doesn't spread. And no appointment. Disgraceful. I've tried calling all day no resolution. They'll let yo... read more

Everyone was great To my mother with the exception of 2People one doctor and one nurse. How ever I was very disappointed when she returned to Dunwoody rehabilitation center the wound care nurse call me to say that she had ulcers on her behind and on her heels they did not let me know about that and it made me very upset when I think of Emory I think a quality care and that is where my family always go.
