Where to start. Called the practice to schedule first appt in January and was told the doctor wasn't available until June(I was offered no other doctors)Made the June appt, because my insurance only takes certain practices. I was called last week to say that "my doctor won't be seeing patients the day my appt was scheduled from THEIR offices. And was told they had no idea how that could've be scheduled." When inquring as to why I wasn't offered another doctor, I was told "I'm not sure why but I can schedule you for the 30th at 9 am." I agree to take it as I had been waiting several weeks and have missed weeks of my medication. I told them it was for overall wellness to establish with a new doctor(any one at this point), and to get a rx refill and lab work. The day of my appointment, I arrived as instructed 30 minutes prior with paperwork filled out. I waited 15 minutes and then was loaded into an exam room. I was asked the reason as to my visit and was told I may have to schedule another appointment, if the time didn't permit everything that I had asked for. This kind of puzzled me as to why I'd have to do that, considering when I called, I had already told the receptionist making the appointment, the reasons why I was making one in the first place. I was then placed in another exam room and told the doctor would be in momentarily. 45 minutes later, and I still wasn't seen. I popped my head out to see what was going on, and was told that I would be seen in a few minutes. I told them I had to reschedule as I had already waited 45 minutes, had another appointment I had to get to, and at this point was simply just asking for a prescription refill and a Wellness exam. The doctor told me the reason why she was running behind was her computer was down and I inquired as to why I wasn't told that in the first place or updated. I might have been a little bit more understanding. So now I have to wait another month for an appointment with this doctor to get a proper refill and I'm already looking to switch providers. I also had to wait in the lobby another 15 minutes before someone acknowledged me to reschedule my appointment. Overall I was not pleased with my visit and handling of the situation.
