Uncompassionate. My dog was viciously attacked by another dog, she was in shock and bleeding profusely, I called St, Francis at 7;15p,m. and was told the doctor will see my dog but if the dog needs stitches she will have to send me elsewhere because she had to leave. I explained the severity of the attack. They insisted the doctor had to leave and that she would just check the dog then send her elsewhere. I will never, ever use St. Francis again.
They ambush your wallet like it's life or death! Kitten symptoms: -Blood in stool (poop) -Diarhea -foul odor in stool -loss of appetite -sneezing -vomitted once My boyfriend and I took her to St. Francis Animal hospital. Total trip time was 20 minutes. My kitten managed to poop all over her carrier 5 minutes before we got there. They charged me $4 for cleaning the carrier, which I thought was reasonable. They didn't know I am a nurse. The Doctor said something to me that was a little off, so I just left this is the second vet that I caught in a lie. I just now google anything I need to know, it is the same a a human same meds same treatment.
Good Place This is a great animal hospital if you value the wellfare of your pet. These are great doctors and to my surprise the wait for seeing them was quite short indeed. My dog had a nail infection years ago and needed some treatment. I went here and they gave it some cream and it finally healed after four weeks. Thanks to them my dog is very healthy now. They also give all types of shots and medications. They are experts and well equipped. It was a satisfactory experience.
Pets Don't Mind this Vet Either! St. Francis is a great place for owners and pets. The vets are very compassionate and really care about animals. I've used others in the area and they aren't as good as St. Francis. The office is well maintained and very clean. These men take pride in their work.

Overpriced I always take my cat to Animal Kind in Park Slope. He is old now and has had some health problems so he is on a special diet. I live close to 13th Avenue, so I called to see how much the case of c/d would be if purchased from them. they informed it woud be $42 for a case and that I would also need to have my cat checked out by their vet first. I get the same case for $32 from Animal Kind. So obviously it is just a mark up in price to generate more income for their office. My point is if anyone is looking for excel... read more
Good This is a very nice place to take your animals at those not so nice times. Nobody likes having to take their pet to the vet but taking them here isn't so bad. The staff is friendly and great with the animals. They are kind and loving and so compassion when needed. Prices are about reasonable as with any other veterinary office. The even offer a free dog biscuit when you come in, for the dog of course!
Best Vets in the World Two friendly vets run this exceptional animal hospital. I couldn't ask for a better vet for my pets. These guys and their staff really love animals. I can't say enough good words about their work and the kindness they have showed to my pedigree doxies and stray cats. One of my dogs was very ill and passed on and Dr. Battiato showed so much kindness to my family - I can't thank him enough for his professionalism and kindness. PROS: exceptional vet care CONS: none - they are perfect
