RecommendedNew visitation policy - one visitor per day and ONCE YOU LEAVE YOU CANNOT RETURN. I was NOT told this when my husband was admitted so, when I went back tonight, the information desk lady condescendingly told me the policy. Problem is NO ONE could explain the rationale behind the policy - only that it's hospital policy and they have to enforce it. Checked the website and no explanation there either. highly DO NOT recommend St E groups. They called and woke me at 6 am this morning to confirm I would still be in at 9 (snowy AM). Traffic on 75 was bad so at 5 min until appt time I called to let them knowI was on my way only to be told the Dr wasn't in and my appt was cancelled. No call, no notice whatsoever!!! Wanna reschedule, no, ok bye...terrible customer service! Was in the ER for severe stomach pain & uncontrollable vomiting. I was taken back and only given blood work & fluids, then i was discharged after only an hour and a half. Not even less than and hour later I was back in tears. This time, I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes dry heaving, and was once again only given fluids for “dehydration”. Not once did anyone even think to do a stomach scan... which I think is ridiculous. Now i’m admitted into St. E Edgewood 2 days later for a stomach lining that is inflamed 3x the norm... read more
