We had St Croix Hospice for my brother. I met the nurse on the day we signed in. The previous Hospice Agency, Brighton, would call or text every week when they saw my brother. This gal texted once. I did complain after three weeks and several unanswered texts. She called to say she was visiting my brother weekly. He told me she would poke her head in the room, say hi and say she’d come back. St Croix Hospice of Rockford has been a God send to our family. They all care so much for the patients well being and comfort during this time. Even after her passing they have been keeping in touch with the family which has been very nice. We were blessed to have them.
This company needs to be shut down. When they send a coordinator out to speak about their services it wasn’t ever mentioned that they don’t offer 24 hour care. Their “staff” which is pretty much CNAs, will come for 30 min to an hour every couple of days. How can you call this hospice? I can do that myself, and I’ve been a better nurse to my Mom than any of the 10 different people you kept sending over. Nobody even knew her. Noboday made good chart notes.
