Had our 70-person wedding here. SSS is a very special place, unique in that you can rent the entire property and host 30-60 of your guests there. It's absolutely picturesque, the facilities are top notch, and it needs very little in terms of decor. We had our welcome dinner here with wood-fired pizza, our ceremony under a stunning 100-year old walnut tree, our dinner on the gorgeous patio, our reception in the barn, and our late night in the distillery cellar. "6. On a separate note, we had damage to our hardwood floors as you were roller-skating on them." Since you never bothered mentioning this at the time, I have no way of knowing if this is true or not, and again, your impulse is to make your client look bad for some reason rather than acknowledge that things were not presented or handled well. I’m aware that Christine and/or Derek will most likely reply to this with some sort of defensive contempt; no surprises if so. Just want to warn couples planning to book their weddings here to document with audio or video recordings any conversations with these people prior to signing a contract with them, and question them thoroughly about discrepancies before signing. Hosted a 100 person non profit retreat here in December and it was super cozy, even with rain all weekend! Space has so much character, the kitchen was incredibly useful for storage + set up, loved the dart board, the common spaces in the houses were perfect for small group conversations, and when not raining the property was gorgeous. Very easy working with the venue (being able to choose our own caterers made things easier, and we also ended up having a bbq using their grill). Highly rec!
