CAUTION: Patients with mental health needs will only find them worsened by the extremely unprofessional inept behavior of Niketa Desai, a Dr [sic] in psychiatry at SSM Health Dean East Clinic. Desai conducted an inappropriate high-risk assessment of me that was not flexible or sensitive to my mental health symptoms for conditions that I had communicated in advance. Very reassuring visit. I had all my questions about Covid answered so I know how to treat it and what to expect.
Received lab test result for 24 hours and it has not been reviewed by the doctor. Apparently antibiotics need to be prescribed based on reading the results. Messaged and called, waited for 20 minutes and nobody answered. Called again, the staff abruptly hanged off the phone after telling me that the doctor had left office after 5pm. Terrible customer service.
Had an appointment scheduled around 3pm and was finally able to meet the dr around 5pm. The dr said they would let the nurse know that I need a “lab” done. I don’t exactly understand what a “lab” means. When the nurse came in and asked some questions, we were walking out to leave and she hurriedly asked me “are you supposed to go to the lab” and sensing her urgency to leave for the day, I just said “no” because once again, I have no idea what that meant.
