Scheduling staff is rude. Tests are impersonal if not invasive. Scheduling staff will hang up on you for simple requests. Has gone so down hill!!! Sad teally
I am seriously disappointed with everything that SSM offered me. While my visit with the doctor was average at best, I am disappointed with the lack of transparency in the billing/coding aspect of my visit and believe what they are doing to me is unethical and shady. I went for a yearly preventative visit after just moving to Madison and a month later I get a bill for $450 because I talked about other issues with my health and he gave me an allergy referral that I didn’t want. I used to be a strong advocate for SSM, within the last two years the staff has become extremely rude from the scheduling team all the way to the doctors. Appointments are difficult to get, treatment between doctors is difficult to navigate, you never know who you're talking to, and new policies are making care even more difficult to receive. Rachel left me a voicemail saying I was on a cancellation list for April, even though I had an appointment for the upcoming week. I called reception and I asked to speak to Rachel and the woman on the phone was very rude and said “I have no idea who Rachel is, this is a big corporation”. After letting her know it seemed like she wasn’t in the interest in helping me…. She hung up! Not sure how SSM health is still in business especially after cancelling gender affirming surgery.
