I have to say I have never personally been to this hospital for any reason till March 9 that evening I got a text saying my grandson Brody had been taken to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital by Ambulance so his Daddy Dustin an I rushed to get there except I couldn't go I just couldn't see the love of my life laying that lifeless. This Hospital is just Amazing they go above an beyond the call of Nursing an the Dr. Are Awesome to. I have never given to Hospitals or charities really for no reason just didn't???? Till now. Went in because there was blood in my daughter's stool and she was running a fever. The doctor was pretty dismissive as she didn't see any blood and mentioned that it might be due to something she ate or drank discoloring her stools. I'm pretty sure I know what blood looks like. I will go to children's or Mercy next time.
I am very grateful that our time there was short and the doctors were able to diagnosis my daughter with another ear infection and prescribed an antibiotic an was discharged all within 4 hours or less.
We have gone and seen a lot of specialist for our son and have loved every department. However, the Genetics department is a whole different story. How they go about scheduling is completely different and every time we call to find out how much long are we on the waiting list we get told a different time frame from all the other calls. They won't even schedule you when you call. First after they get all the paper work back to you, you are then placed on a waiting list and when they get to you then they will call and schedule... read more
For mental health concerns this place SUCKS! Was there arrived around 7 pm. Did not get a doctor to evaluate patient until around 5 am next morning. Kept telling us be about hour maybe two!! Was told only have 1 maybe 2 mental health doctors in the whole area and they serve SEVERAL hospitals. Have to wait till they have time to get to you!!! All total from arrival to help took total of 22 hours!!
