Took the extended round trip package on Friday, July 19, 2019. Two adults, no car, Manitowoc to Ludington then back again. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Definitely beat the heat wave and experienced the derecho on the way back. Holy smokes! Very impressive storm, non-stop lightening, incredible winds, lashing rain. I thought we might become the Edmund Fitzbadger, but no. The boat just chugged it’s way through the chaos with no discernible trouble, seemingly unconcerned. Having traveled across Lake Michigan the first time in 1966 under C&O Railroad ownership, I have always had pleasant experiences every time I have traveled on these ships. Hopefully the Badger will continues for many more years. I plan to cross again next month. 🙂
