My mom was in the hospital for 1 month and the hospital care coordinator arranged SRT services. Arranged for the first visit for my mom today which is Monday between 9-11. Got a call at 11am saying that they are still waiting for a PSW to go out to my mom. Nobody came. SRT Med-Staff is an exceptional example of why we should not privatize healthcare. I would like to validate the other reviews who complain that they don't have staff to cover their shifts. My family lodged a formal complaint regarding services not rendered among a host of other issues. They routinely call to tell us they don't have staff to fill shifts. We had an in-home meeting with our Ontario Health At Home reps and what was supposed to be two reps from SRT to discuss the complaint and care plan. Only one of the two we ex... read more
I strongly advise anyone considering SRT Medical to look elsewhere. My experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The coordinators are unprofessional and unhelpful, often dismissing concerns instead of resolving them. The PSWs are unreliable—frequently late, sometimes not showing up at all, and often leaving early without providing proper care. There is no accountability, and issues raised are ignored. Overall, a very poor and unreliable service I would not recommend.
The service provided by S.R.T. Medstaff is a hit or miss. My mother was discharged and sent home from the rehab centre recently. The PSWs come 3 times a day. Some take their job very seriously, follow instructions, make conversation, give advice, ask if we need anything else to be done and call about 1 day to 1h ahead of time informing us when they'll arrive and some try to do the least amount of work as possible so they can leave fast, don't inform us at all and we're left in the dark waiting.
