In 1969, the land on which Squaw Creek Golf Course now sits was gifted to the General Dynamics Recreation Association. The land on which the club house and maintenance barn now sit were purchased by GDRA. The golf course and accompanying structures were built for $1,126,215. Fred Chambers, Lawrence Armstrong, C.J. Excellent renovation here. When allowed to mature, this course will be one of the finest tests of golf in north Texas. New sodded fairways and greens need time.. getting better every day.
As of right now , the course is in beautiful shape. The difference between 3 months ago , and now , is just unbelievable. There is no way you could have told me 3 months ago the course would look like it does now. I would have told you you are an idiot. Hats off to the super.
Greens were like hitting concrete.Made it impossible to stop ball near the pin.
Very impressed with the new layout and practice facility !
First off, they just replaced the greens, so they are hard. Nothing they can do about that. That being said, they rolled true, just a little slower now. The new tee boxes have added some length and the clean up and bunkers have added great depth and sight lines. This is going to be a GREAT golf course.
Challenging course, great layout. Friendly staff, I will be back again and again.
