In 1969, the land on which Squaw Creek Golf Course now sits was gifted to the General Dynamics Recreation Association. The land on which the club house and maintenance barn now sit were purchased by GDRA. The golf course and accompanying structures were built for $1,126,215. Fred Chambers, Lawrence Armstrong, C.J. I played in a 4-man, best ball scramble, and I traveled from Wylie, TX to play. I thought it was gonna be a flat course, but it surprised in that it wasn’t. A few shots you teed off into valleys below and it was a pretty challenging course, but fun to play.
Beautiful golf course! Mature trees and lots of elevation changes... hill country feel for sure... greens are in fantastic shape & they are tough out here... staff was great... rates are very fair... absolutely highly recommend!
