The recent cupcakes I tried taste different now. The vanilla cupcake was dry and a little stale and just didn't taste that great. It wasn't bad but underwhelming. I got them late afternoon so maybe I got the last ones from the morning? It just wasn't worth the price at all.
Stopped by here today on the way out of the mall and it’s clear that, like the rest of the world, Sprinkles has taken a dystopian turn. Ordering has been outsourced to a tablet. Cupcakes are $4 each. Wanting to maximize my returns, I purchased a bag of mini red velvet cookies, hoping to resurrect fond Aughts memories of the red velvet craze. Big mistake. I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Sprinkles. The cupcakes were handed out in plain brown paper bags, which felt so cheap and unappealing. Presentation matters, and this wasn’t it. Not a good look for Sprinkles! Never seen any brand do this. There was no adequate holder so you bare cupcakes just flops around and gets the bag greasy. Reminded me of fried chicken.
