This SpringHill location is another example of Marriott renovating their older properties but missing the mark on so much. For example, the A/C unit in our otherwise new room is obviously aging by its knocking and tapping noises. The door for the toilet leaves a massive gap, meaning your privacy is basically none while using the restroom. The breakfast needs a lot of help. The usual mediocre eggs, but no waffle maker and just two hot items is pretty sad. The staff, on the other hand, are wonderful and should be paid more.
They didn’t clean out the fridge before we checked in and there was moldy chicken salad in the fridge UPDATED I just sat in the chair on the desk and fell
We were in Columbia to take care of some family business and clean out a large warehouse. When checking in we met the assistant manager, Ashley. Ashley asked about our reason for being in town and we told her and she immediately offered some information that helped us in our planned task immensely. Not only did she provide us with the information necessary to contact some local assistance, she followed up and made sure that we got the help that we needed. Great hotel. Front desk staff was great especially Franchesha and the bartender. Spacious and clean rooms, just AC was a little off. Everything else was perfect.
They only have cable and no way of watching Netflix or any apps. How cheap can you be to make people watch basic cable!?! Two thumbs down to the extremely cheap person that owns this hotel
