We are Marriott Bonvoy members and frequently travel. This location is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. Pool was closed (and been closed) for repairs. Water is green. Ice machine also out of order. Carpet definitely in need of replacement. When I inquired of the front desk, if the location was under renovation, the tall man with folded arms and his hand on his chin, curtly indicated that the carpet had just been replaced. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with SpringHill Suites Palm Desert was disappointing from start to finish. Before check-in, I called to ask about the possibility of a late checkout, knowing it’s typically based on availability. Unfortunately, the guest service representative had a poor attitude throughout the call. The more questions I asked, the shorter and more frustrated she became. Terrible experience. Dirty toilet, peeling wall paper, zero bathroom privacy (No locks & sliding doors with GAPS. Check in was underwhelming. This is low end Motel basically.
The hotel was great overall very quiet. A few minor things that I didn't care for. Breakfast was mediocre. Went there on the first day sausage looked way under cooked. The bed was too hard but everything else was great.
