This was an excellent choice for Graduation Weekend. The hotel is conveniently located near our family, and we were able to easily walk to the Civic Center in Rochester. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance, and the parking fee is very reasonable. We would gladly stay here again. Really happy with my visit to SpringHill Suites by Marriott Rochester Mayo Clinic Area/Saint Marys. Quiet, cozy, and exactly what I needed for the trip. I'll be recommending this spot to everyone I know.
Beds are terrible, UNLESS you prefer extra firm. Rooms and bathrooms a bit old. It was quiet. Plugs for chargers by beds. Besides the beds, it was a great location to Mayo, with yummy nearby restaurants. Service was okay. Parking could get tight.
The staff is cordial. The rooms are clean. But the rooms are dated. The rooms are smaller than most SpringHill Suites. They also smell a lot like perfume. They must use heavily scented cleaners. The breakfast was also disappointing. When I checked in the front desk clerk said breakfast starts at 6am everyday and the sign is outdated. Breakfast didn’t start until 6:30am. And they do not respond to messages within the BonVoy app. I won’t stay here again.
